ugly or not?

I bought these boat shoes for about $10 the other day, but I am still debating if they are good to wear or not. I was inspired by how some guys wear moccasins with skinnies, which I think is a look not everyone can pull off. So, what do you guys think about my option? Boat shoes and skinnies? Yes or Ew?

I like boat shoes and what your are describing sounds like it would look great, but in order to answer your question I would have to see a shot of the skinnies too.

i say 'yes' to boat shoes (especially white ones!) and 'ew' to the andre leon talley picture below.

savvy approves of them, but depends on body type/personality/aura/etc. as to whether or not they work with skinnies. always quite safe with wider leg trousers though, regardless. as to wearing them with skinnies, again it depends on the person, but if you feel comfortable, do it-it's a refreshing change from pointy-toed rocker boots or cons.

i've seen this look on a kid, and it looked pretty cool on him. either with a med to dark blue or a grey skinny perhaps...

I don't mind them but not in white. White shoes with light coloured jeans or even bright pink jeans but not those indigo ones.

Ugly but functional, perhaps.

I think they are terribly elegant and cool, in a pseudo-nerdy, dapper way. They certainly don't look as cheap as $10, and don't blend in with the rest of the population wearing canvas boat shoes or boots. Keep them, wear them, trust me!
